Max Giroux is a sculptor working in ceramics who combines his keen observational skills, his love of animals, and his sophisticated understanding of form into powerful, minimalistic works. The charming simplicity of his figures belies the masterfull ease from which they are created, often quickly and from memory. Max took his first ceramics class at the Newport Art Museum in 2009, and has remained a vital member of the Newport Art Museum School.
