Sena and her mother, Soon, visiting from South Korea, spent a year making art (and friends!) in Studio 57. During that time, they became integral members of our community. They shared their talents, culture and kindness with the studio artists and we were saddened when they had to return to their native country. While in the States, Sena exhibited her artwork in Middletown, Newport and Providence and her art continues to hang in the Studio in the spirit of remembrance and appreciation. Sena and Soon remain in touch with us and we hope to develop art exchange opportunities between Studio 57 and the program Sena attends in Korea, where she continues to pursue her artistic endeavors.
