Rachel Rasnick
Perhaps best known for her portraits of sophisticated ladies, Rachel’s subject matter also includes ornate and detailed animals and landscapes. Rachel blends her paints dynamically and often inserts "color components" that mimic the flow of her line. Rachel’s paintings often sell before they are completed in the studio. She also regularly takes commissions. Rachel recently received a grant to start her own small business; she plans on making prints of her popular designs and reproducing them on a variety of surfaces and objects. She has shown her work widely in Rhode Island including at the DeBlois Gallery in Newport, the Atrium Gallery in Providence and at the Conanicut Island Art Association’s 40th anniversary show in Jamestown. She recently had her first solo show at the Collaborative in Warren.
