Over the past five years, Spencer has focused largely on photography, his favorite subject being land and seascapes. An interest in sailing recently led him to trying his hand at painting ocean scenes and sailboats. He then began expanding his subject matter to include other methods of transportation, such as cars, trucks, motorcycles, buses and the like. Though he has only been painting for a short while, he has already sold numerous canvases at Downtown Designs Gallery in Newport.
